Customs clearance is an official operation carried out in connection with the passage of goods and means of transport across the customs border, as well as changes in the customs procedure.
According to the legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan, brokers obtain a special certificate for carrying out customs clearance at the customs authorities.
Customs clearance includes the submission of cargo accompanying documents, relevant permit documents, customs declaration to the customs body, as well as the payment of customs duty for the cargo. Customs clearance depends on the countries of origin and final delivery, the type of vehicle used and the legislative requirements of these countries.
